MSN 6.1 Freezes Momentarily when I send a message

I recently downloaded the new version of MSN Messenger [v6.1]. But I am having an extremely irritating problem when I am talking to someone and I press the enter key to send my message and then MSN freezes for about 5 - 10 seconds before the message actually appears on the screen and also sometimes I press the keys on the keyboard to type out a message and there is about a 5 second delay between me pressing the keys and the letters actually appearing in the message box. I have a fairly new and well functioning system. I suspected Spyware but I have scanned my system using two utilities and removed ALL of what I could find. I have also tried going back and using the version of MSN that comes with WinXP [MSN v4.6] but the same thing is happening. I have reinstalled MSN but to no avail. The only option I can see is to format my system but I really do not want to do that just fix such a small but extremely irritating problem. PLEASE HELP!

i suggest u format your computer.. i have never heard of that problem before, but if your willing im sure some of your frineds would be able to help. Everyone has atleast one computer expert, im pretty sure he can partition ure drive, so u dont lose anything, and then u can format and keep all your files..

i also have the same problem. i am not able sure why this is happeneing. but it is very annoying. not only in msn, but also outlook express behaves in the same way. though outlook express doesnot behave like this everytime, it does like this when i am on net.
pls reply if you had found a solution already.

foramtting is not the solution. i have tried it already. there is some other thing that we are over looking. some options to change in some place i think..
