Remove using control panel, add/remove programs.
Then check your home page and search preferences under Tools, internet options either general or programs tab. Removal links:

Girls, that toolbar is associated with spyware (which is bad...) and I don't believe anyone here at newbie would help you install it!! Go to control panel, Add/Remove Programs, and remove it. That's the only advice you're getting from this newbie... (it's for your own good, buy the way).

Mark, read Snowmans' post a little higher. You should also download , update and run SpyBot Search and Destroy (free spyware removal tool). Get it here :

http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download

First, uninstall Smiley from Control Panel, Add/Remove.

it also leaves a couple hidden registery files that need to be "unfortunatly":MANUALLY removed . I am in the process now of trying to find the page that tells were and what . I think it was on their site but I may be wrong . You can uninstall it , that gets rid of the bulk of it but as long as those reg. files are there you still have some of it <<-- mabey not for the newbie to try .

these are the Manual removal instuctions .
Please follow the instructions below if you would like to remove My Search Bar manually. Please notice that you must follow the instructions very carefully and delete everything that is mentioned. In most cases the removal will fail if one single item is not deleted. If Bazooka still detects My Search Bar after stepping through the removal instructions, please double-check by stepping through them again.
Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run. (The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
Delete 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {014DA6C1-189F-421a-88CD-07CFE51CFF10}', if it exists.
