block sender won't work

when i try to block a sender in my email it gives me a message that says cannot block sender..when i try it a second time it accepts and puts that sender in my blocked sender ..but when i exit email and reenter later all blocked senders are gone..what can i do? Thanks

if you use IE and OE then either update them at microsoft update or do a repair of your instalation. If you use w98 go to add remove programs and click to remove IE, you will be given the option to role back to previous version or repair present one. Choose repair.

i have win98 and removed program ie..but evidently went too far because it did not give me the option of "repair" or "role back". so i lost something (?) ms update does not show an option for this problem..any other suggestions? thank you.

A bit drastic but if you're out of options, you can look at using this free program, IEradicator
to fully uninstall internet explorer and then install a fresh version. The link to the program description is here:

Might want to download Firebird as a backup browser first though:
http://texturizer.net/firebird/download.html
Unofficial firebird installer works fine, is simpler to install.
