Reformatting harddrive

how do i go about reformatting my harddrive? i want to take windows me off my computer and put windows 2000 on. how can i do it, i was told to reformat harddrive, but, i wasn't told how to reformat the harddrive. please can someone help?

You can either just run win2000 in WinME, and update windows to the new version..
Or you can boot from Win2000 cd, by just leaving it in the drive when you turn your computer on. This allows you to format your harddrive, and then install Win2000.
For more detail, just go to the microsoft site which is quite good..
