msn signing on without premission please help

i've had msn6 for a while now and it was reliable..but recently it has been connecting online by itself..not letting me know it is online untill anyone (from my blocked list !) sends me msg's
so i go to destop icon and sign in properly but it says that i am signed in at another machine??
i have norton running all the time and it gives me no warnings
please help

I would check preferrences or option to find where it sez to connect or load at start up. This 'other machine' business worries me you may want to chang your sign in or password thru the interface as maybe someone gothold of your password.

thanks Ed.. i have changed password and looked at my prefrences..still keeps happening.. and now pages are taking ages to load up.. really not sure what to do..
ran a few anti virus checks but found nothing

You can check your outlook express setings.
Tools/ options/ general:
Make sure auto log on to msn messenger is disabled.
