IE6 address bar error LocalService

Just had to re-install Windows XP (Home) as well as IE6. Everytime I enter a url into the address bar I get the following error message: C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable...
If I click OK, it just opens the page anyway. A little annoying nonetheless.
Cannot find/see the C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService directory, although if I try to create a new folder with that name, I am told it already exists.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

You probably need to change a minor setting in Explorer to view the file : go to the "Options" menu in explorer, then "Folder options", then "display" and then select "Show hidden files and folders". After a new install, this is always reset to default, which is "Do not show..." BTW, I work on a french version of XP, so I hope the terms I use to reach the view options are correct (or close enough...). Can't help you with the other problem, sorry.
