An unwanted dial-up icon has inserted itself on my WIN95 toolbar. If I right click on it, there is an exit button which makes it disappear, but it comes back next start up.
"HELP" tells me there should be a disconnect button to click.
Where can I find it?
Thank you.

is this the icon that goes there when you connect to the internet? Are you on dial up?
Some program may be trying to connect to the internet and is configured to load with windows start up.
You didn/t mention if int explorer starts up also. Could be an updater service of a legit program if set to update automatically, or it could be a virus or spyware trying to connect.
Double click this icon and find an option not to start with windows and not to connect automatic

Thanks for your input Ed.
This is a webdialer trying to connect me to an on-line pay per minute site.
I've tried clicking, double clicking, & right
clicking on every button, but cannot find a way to permanently remove it.
I've tried downloading spyware bashers, but havn't found one yet that will install on my system.

if spybot search and destroy after being installed and updated doesnt get rid of it let the programers know. Get a personal firewall like tiny firewall to stop this thing now. Your virus scanner should also recognise this thing.
press start/programs start up there may be a short cut to this dialer there if there is right click and delete.
