constant RESTARTING

Help! I don't know what I did or whatever is going on with my computer. I doubt the specs of my computer are important, but its good enough. Anyways, the problem lies in the cable modem wires. It loads until I see the desktop for 5 seconds, then it restarts, and does the same thing. It won't stop restarting until I unplug the modem wire. Any tips or advice on this? Any comments are appreciated.

Have you checked the card where your cable modem plugs into the computer?
See if you can try another card. NIC cards are inexpensive. mirse@aol.com
