Excel is part of MSoffice did you download all of office or just excel?
With MSoffice and its installation.. there is a setup.exe file for this, i can only assume that excel on its own must have 1 like it, although in the office suite, excel is installed via a windows installer as part of the full MSoffice install.
Also be aware that Excel will be licenced to Microsoft, and in being, should only installed if a licence for MSOffice has been bought with it.
if purchased online then a valid Key would have been given, there should also be a readme.txt file to help you install the program.
