VXD Error

Ok .. I had Kazaa for a while and after I got it, my computer started giving me VXD errors every time I tried running one of my games (Starcraft, Diablo II, etc) .. so I uninstalled Kazaa, but the error is still there. There are no registry keys under Kazaa and I read somewhere in this forum that I have to erase kernel32.dll and rebuild it. Since I'm not very literate with computers, can someone tell me:
1. if this really fixes the problem
2. how to do it?
