deleting files off pc

I am trying to create more disk space on my hard drive by deleting old files..if i remove a file that is necessary for a program to run...will the program still run if that file is in the recycle bin...or does it need to be deleted out of the recycle bin to not have a program work...i am thinking about burning a copy of the recycle bin prior to deleting anthing just in case i delete files that "run" programs...thoughts?

If a required file gets sent to the recycle bin, the program won't work. Make a copy of it before deleting it.
