Coomputer shutting down

MY comuter is shutting down as if in stand by, but it gives no warning. It has to be restarted by turning the button off and on.
I have also noticed that the power supply fan IS NOT Working all the time. Could this be causing the problem.

this is exactly why this is happening. leave the computer off. Open the case and see if thewre are any wires or other impediments stoppint the fan from turning. Use a can of compressed air to clean out and with cover off turn on computer and watch. If the fan stops turn of comp and buy a new fan. Risky stuff here you dont want to let heat build up.

Thanks.. This is what we thought.. We have the side off with a box fan blowing on the computer to keep it cool right now.. Going to call around and find a fan..
