Our Norton detected suspicious activity in script blocking on 8/9 and 9/22.

Activity: Get special folder
This script was stopped
What is this; a virus or worm or what? and how do we get rid of it? We are using windows ME. Thanks. We are new and green to the computer. Would appreciate any step by step easy to understand remedeys anyone may have.

Basically you don't have to worry about it.
Your antivirus was just doing it's job.
If the script was indeed malicious you were protected. No need for further action.
It may also have been a false alarm and the script was harmless. It was prevented from running.
No need to do anything.
unless you for certain know the script is harmless and also necessary your best course is to always stop it.
Occasionally you may experience a glitch, but better that than a virus.
Helpctr has a vulnerability than can be exploited. A patch was issued quite a while back.
If you are new to computing go to windows update
and look at their critical updates. It's almost a
weekly occurence now.
