Slow running..

I have a desktop and laptop both running windows XP. Well i am a music and video lover so i have kazaa. I have never had a problem running kazaa on windows xp. well i switched to kazaa lite which doesnt have pop-up or spy ware. so i used that. well it kept locking up. I odnt know if it was kazaa or not. so i reloaded my computer with XP and put on regular kazaa and its running slow still. and i deleted the Khooker.exe out of my program files and my MSCONFIG. Whats the problem?

khooker is a tray utility for sis keyboard, dont think it's of much use so not a problem as far as your removing it. Did you remove kazaa thru add remove programs? You should now use spybot search and destroy to clean out what kazaa left behind. If you have kazaa and kazaa lite installed there is probably a conflict there.

Are you able to start it in a safe mode? If it will not allow you to install it must be a virus (as ed said) If you can go into safe mode you should be able to delete any and all files causing the error.
