computer wont uninstall program for reinstall

My computer locked up then i had to shut it down cold..when it came back it say my virus scan program file is missing so it would not load. I try to reload it and it suggest i uninstall, then when i try to uninstall it say file missing for uninstall.. I also keep gettin porn pop ups from clean browsing ..and chating in singles room..how can i get rid of those pop ups..they dont show web address to block..

Preventing popups -
The easiest way is to change the internet explorer settings. Pick tools -> options -> advanced, and scroll all the way down to scripting options. Uncheck the three options listed and restart your browser. This method will keep some pages from being loaded correctly, though...and any links that depend on javascripting will not function.

newbie help i did an online spyware scan and it said that the e anthology software registered me for more spyware what should i do.Also when i tried to uninstall it in the add or remove program it just froze and doesnt let me get out...!!stupid software..!

jessica why would you postyour problem in response to rog's problem.Get a program called spybot search and destroy, update it and run it,
Its an excellent program and will rid you of all your spyware.
