OMG! where to begin... i recently installed some windows updates from which i have learned that wmp9 and IE6 are the nasty little buggaz that have caused this whole heap of mess... b4 knowing these were the cause i tried to reboot..got to 61% and then the 'suwin error' appeared, given the choices to click 'ignore' or 'cancel' i clicked 'ignore' and nothing! so i closed it all down and when i restarted i was then faced with 'error starting program the 'winspool.drv' is linked to missing export NTDLL.dll:NTQUERYINFORMATIONPROCESS' ...along with 'couldnt load library winspool.drv' and then 'general protection fault module VERX.dll@0002:24AE...arghh..is there much more?? iv given up all hope of rebooting as iv followed a few steps given to other members at an earlier time with no joy...so i now wish to format it..only i cant get into dos without windows loading first..what am i doing wrong?? iv also tried goin thro 'my computer' clicking c drive then in file clicking 'format' and no joy still..it does nothing...im at a total loss,im not too confident with messing around but can follow presice steps...can anyone help a megre female?? ;O)

I found this article on the net and it worked for me, good luck. You will probable need to re-install ie6 or medeaplayer after you get the pc back up.

This is what I have found on ONE solution:
WinME with IE6SP1 and WMP9 installed needs a re-install over top of existing installation to correct non-booting problem.
SUWIN error in verx.dll during Setup
The only solution so far has been a parallel install.The problem is due to either a new version of Windows Media Player or Internet Explorer and the way to fix each one is listed below:
IE: Rename c:\windows\system\iemigrat.dll *.old Rename c:\program files\Internet Explorer\W2k\migrate.dll *.old Rename c:\program files\outlook express\9xmig.dll *.old WMP: Rename c:\windows\system wmp*.dll *.old Rename c:\windows\system wmp.ocx *.xoc Rename c:\program files\windows media player wmp After that, run setup again. Good luck
Definitive solution:
delete c:\windows\system\WMPLOC.dll and any WMPLOC.00x you find in that directory (ie wmploc.001,wmploc.002). Run the windows setup again. You should be able to succeed.
Another user tried other suggestions, but iemigrat.dll wasn't on his system and niether was wmp.ocx. Looking VERY carefully at the text, it says to rename c:\windows\system\wmp*.dll. In other words, wmploc.dll. He deleted the wmploc.00x and wmploc.dll which did the trick for him, though.

Also check to see if SQL v7 is installed...this also may sometimes cause the SUWIN in ME

NTDLL.DLL:NtQueryinformationprocess.
I have a Voodoo card that i have down loaded updated drivers from the net. One of the drivers is to make voodoo card compatible with Direct X 8.1. When I tried to install error message newdev.dll fiel missing, so I went back and downloaded NEWDEV.dll. When attempt to install get error message "NEWDEV.dll linked to missing NTD.DLL:NtQyeryinformationprocess". What can I do to fix this?

ok. I am getting the same NTDLL.dll:NTQUERYINFORMATIONPROCESS
message. However, I am not getting it at startup. I get it when I try to install my virus software. (Norton)I am running 98 SE. I have not upgraded windows or any of it's components since install, as I am not online on that computer and have, as of yet, not found a way to do so withought being online.
I am almost certain I have a virus, but I can't fix it withought installing the antivirus software. I am at a loss.
I also tried using the run command to initialize the dll as I have had to do that before to make a dll work. At that time I recieve this message "ntdll.dll was loaded but the dllregisterserver entry point was not found. DllregisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of ntdll.dll may be in memory. Consider using Pview to detect and remove it." can anyone help.

I am missing winspool.drv as well along with powrproof.dll error! Also, I am trying to open Mozilla internet browser which is not successful! Error message I am getting on that is MSVCRT.dll. Can you help?

I am having the exact same problems. Only I get the Suwin error at 65%. Please help. I also need the winspool.drv amd powrprof.dll files and need to know where to put them.
Actually my systme won't even boot. It says Invalid Boot Diskete; Insert Boot Diskete into Drive A: The only reason my computer is running now is because the WMe Install CD is in the cd rom. Can anyone help me?

I have problems when running W98. It appears an error message saying that something is wrong with the file 'powrproof.dll' and then another error related to iexplorer that doesn't let the pc start! Formatting the PC is only solution?
