I discovered a folder, which I can no longer find, that was entitled aa... I attempted to delete it and it would not delete. I ran Norton Systemworks Antivirus Ver.8 but it didn't find anything.
My hard drive is at, or near full. The drive will often flash with no activity occurring. A Find File or Folder search for aaa*.*, aa*.*, and aa*.* all show it being found in over 1700 files. When I attempted to run the same search again, it showed no files or folders containing this. Yet, I went to the search history (drop down arrow) and ran the same search and found even more files (Listed 10,000) containing any combination of a's.
Can somebody tell me what is going on?

Somehow a line in the above post was changed. the line: "A Find File or Folder search for aaa*.*, aa*.*, and aa*.* all show it being found in over 1700 files"
The second aa*.* should have showd 5 'a's being listed. The third aa*.* should have shown well over 20+ a's before the *.*
Don't know how it was edited either.

That is a feature of the forum software. An attempt to cut down on glut caused by folks falling asleep on the keyboard and inputting a zillion of the same letter.
