If you are trying to deal with security issues, such as spyware that required HijackThis!, these forums may be very helpful.

Before resorting to extreme tools such as HijackThis!. you should try the following: First: SpyBot Search & Destroy (my #1 choice at the moment) and/or Ad-Aware (also excellent).

Second: CWshredder. This will remove things that the previous two may not have been able to touch.

Finally if you still have spyware then get HijackThis! and consult with the experts in the forums listed below.

DON'T FIX ANYTHING WITH HijackThis! by yourself. Wait for experts to guide you. There are many excellent volunteers on these forums willing to help.
