If IE is giving you headaches consider using a different browser. There are other browsers. IE was not the first, and it is certainly not the best. Below we list a few browsers for your consideration. We also recommend doing a search at Download.com or TuCows.
FireFox
What does Newbie.org have to say about FireFox? It is one of our two top browsers. We are sold on a combination of Opera and FireFox. You're free to disagree. We just know what we like.

Why FireFox instead of Mozilla? At Newbie.org we like our clients to do one job and do that job extremely well. We use one program for email (Pegasus or Eudora) and we use another program for browsing (FireFox or Opera). We don't use the email or news features of Mozilla. So, why not just download the single purpose, sleek browser only version of Mozilla called FireFox?

Mozilla FireFox is a speedy, full-featured browser for Microsoft Windows that makes browsing more efficient than ever before. FireFox includes comprehensive pop-up controls to keep unwanted advertising off your desktop; a tab browsing mode that lets you open several pages in a single window, allowing you to load links in the background without leaving the page you're on; integrated Google search; industry-leading keyboard navigation; simplified privacy controls that let you cover your tracks more effectively; a streamlined browser window that lets you see more of the page than any other browser while at the same time being more configurable; a large variety of free downloadable extensions and themes that add specific functionality and visual changes to the browser; and a number of other details that work together with you to help you get the most out of your time online. New to Mozilla FireFox include the ability to automatically download files to your desktop and open bookmarks in your sidebar using Web panels.

Opera
What does Newbie.org have to say about Opera? It is one of our two top browsers. We are sold on a combination of Opera and FireFox. You're free to disagree. We just know what we like.

What does Opera have to say about itself: Opera is a fast, user-friendly, and highly versatile Internet browser that includes a newsreader, integrated search, and an M2 e-mail client. The keyboard plays an integral role in surfing, making Web navigation easy with Fast Forward and Rewind buttons for expedited navigation. You can run multiple windows even at start-up, and special features are included for users with disabilities. The standards support in Opera 7 has been improved. It also handles nonstandard pages using DHTML and includes password and cookie managers, improved drag-and-drop support, a floating hot list, user profiles, and a host of other features, such as an integrated pop-up stopper and skin support.

Mozilla
What does Newbie.org have to say about Mozilla? Mozilla is the full form of FireFox. Mozilla is everything FireFox is with more.

We prefer to keep our news client and email client separate from the browser. However, if you are the type that like to have browser, email and news all-in-on then Mozilla is the browser for you.

By the way if you say: "I much prefer my Netscape to Mozilla." you are just being silly. Netscape is Mozilla after several megabytes of marketing garbage is added. Run the straight, stripped-down Mozilla instead. Same core engine.

Mozilla's interface employs the standard browsing paradigm with Back, Forward, and Refresh buttons. It's skinnable, meaning you can download new looks for it. It features the ability to disable unrequested pop-up windows on Web sites. Mozilla also lets you open multiple browser windows and display multiple Web pages in a single tabbed window at the same time.

Avante
What does Avante have to say about themselves: Avant Browser is a fast, stable, user-friendly, versatile, multiwindow browser. It allows users to browse multiple Web sites simultaneously and block all unwanted pop-up pages and Flash ads automatically. The integrated cleaner helps users clear all traces and maintain privacy. The built-in Google search engine enables users to search for Web pages, images, groups, directories, lyrics, software, and news on the Internet. Avant Browser provides options for blocking the download of Flash media, pictures, video, sounds, and ActiveX components, so users can efficiently use their bandwidth and speed up page loading. All opened pages can be easily stopped, refreshed, closed, or arranged with just one click.

MyIE2
MyIE2 is a multipage browser based on the Internet Explorer core (IE 5.x or 6.0 required). It can open multiple Web pages in just one window, and it only takes a few system resources when you're surfing with the integrated user interface. It supports special plug-ins and IE extensions, and its features include autoscrolling, form autofilling, external tools, plug-in support, newsgroup browsing mode, mouse gestures, customizable skins, and an autohide panel. The latest release includes Gecko engine support, size information in the status bar, and improved Windows XP theme support and several performance enhancements.

SlimeBrowser
SlimBrowser is a tabbed multisite Web browser. Its recoverable pop-up killer intelligently identifies and blocks pop-up ads without killing a desirable window by mistake. The quick-search bar provides convenient access to user-defined search engines. You can hide selected sites while browsing to protect your privacy. Extensive support for skins lets you decorate SlimBrowser to your own preference. The AutoLogin feature automatically connects and logs into specified Web sites with just one click. Seamless integration with online translation engines helps you browse sites in foreign languages. Script error suppression eliminates annoying script error dialogs. With flexible control of start-up actions, SlimBrowser can automatically open predefined mailboxes and Web sites at start-up for you. SlimBrowser uses a uniform interface to manage both local and remote resources. Version 3.8 adds a language file manager, more domain name autocompletion options, and file uploading capability.
