Step1 If when you click on a download link to get a file from the internet your screen ends up looking like a bunch of wild and weird heiroglyphs are having a convention on your computer screen don't dispair. There is still a way to download the file.

Step2 Put your mouse over the hot link so that the arrow turns into a hand. Then click the Right Mouse Button. Yep, the correct button is the right button. This will bring up a submenu as seen in the next step.

Step3 Here is a nice view of the submenu as brought up by right-click with the mouse. Look for and use the "Save Link As" option. This will start the download and give you a standard save file screen as in the next step.

Step4 This is your good ol' friend "Save File" window. Save the file as usual and all will be well. Instead of the characters being incorrectly diverted to your browser they are being saved nicely to your harddrive.

In case you are wondering, the screen shots were taken from a page for downloading the program Apperception. Apperception is an ESP trainer. Kinda fun. You can find it at http://www.slimeworld.org/galwebde/util.html
